Sidney Madden is a music journalist, writer and host. She’s currently a reporter and host at NPR Music. Formerly, she was an assistant editor at XXL Magazine. She grew up in Boston and graduated from Hofstra University.

Sid specializes in storytelling at the intersection of art, culture and societal shift. From burgeoning subgenres to soundtracked revolutions, she sees the story behind the wave and brings distinct perspective to every byline in print, digital, audio and television spaces.
